About Me

I’ve always loved working with my hands. I started in home repair by helping my dad as a kid. I was instilled with an excellent work ethic growing up. “If a job is worth doing, it's worth doing RIGHT.”

During my late teens, I worked summers for a former Scoutmaster who was both an architect and a landlord. He hired me to work on his own home and his rental property. I continued handy-man work summers through College, where I helped to renovate and preserve the old Erie-Lackawanna Railroad Depot in Binghamton, NY. I also worked for a painting company doing historic home preservations in Owego, NY. As part of my Electrical Engineering degree, I took a hands-on residential house wiring course which turned out to be pretty darn useful!

In my early 20’s, my parents purchased a home to “flip” (long before “flipping” houses was even a term). I did nearly all the interior renovations and improvements on this home.

When I became a homeowner, I immediately set to work fixing and improving my own property. Over the years I’ve honed my skills in painting, drywall, plumbing, electrical, flooring and more. You name it, I’ve probably worked on it.

After earning my degree in Electrical Engineering, I had a 28 year career in Research in Fiber Optics and Lasers and Communication Electronics. As with many during the pandemic, I decided to reinvent my career path. I now enjoy working for myself and helping my clients repair and solve problems in their homes. Getting tons of positive feedback from clients makes the job very rewarding!

In my free time I love woodworking, especially woodturning on my lathe, cycling and playing the bagpipes.

I get a lot of satisfaction striving for excellence and successfully completing jobs for my clients. When they’re happy, I’m Happy!

I believe in top quality work, and therefore I’ll treat your home as I would my own. Ready to get started on your project? Let’s talk!
